The George Walker Jr. Community Coalition, Inc. ("GWJrCC") is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to educate, encourage, and empower residents of East New York and Cypress Hills, and neighboring communities, by providing diverse opportunities that inspire them to lead dynamic lives.

To achieve this feat, GWJrCC provides educational, cultural, recreational, artistic, counseling and professional development services, programs, and events at the George Walker Jr. Park and at various public and private facilities throughout the community.

The George Walker Jr. Park is an oasis of calm for residents and brings beautification to the East New York/Cypress Hills communities.   As Friends of the park, GWJrCC believes that active and consistent programming at the park will foster an environment of collective work and responsibility, respect for the community, its members and the local environment.   By sponsoring such programs, services and events, GWJrCC enforces its belief that “we are the change we want to see in the world.”
